La diversité. Il ressemble à un monde parallèle où l’on peut voir, manger et découvrir tout et n’importe quoi. Comme je n’habite pas à Montréal, j’ai parfois l’impression de suffoquer dans ma petite ville, donc je viens au Quartier chinois pour reprendre mon souffle et avoir l’occasion d’explorer une autre culture. Le Quartier chinois veut dire bonne nourriture, musique relaxante et différents bâtiments avec des histoires fascinantes. Il représente l’occasion d’observer des centaines de personnes de différentes cultures réunies dans le but de profiter de l’héritage de l’Asie à Montréal. Le plus important pour moi: le Quartier chinois représente ma tante d’origine chinoise me partageant sa culture, la nourriture et la langue qui l’ont toujours entourée.
多樣性。就像一個平行世界，在這裡你可以看見、品嚐、發現很多東西。由於我不住在滿地可，有時我在小鎮悶到窒息，我會來唐人街喘口氣，並有機會探索另一種文化。唐人街意味著美味的食物、輕鬆的音樂，以及許多帶著深刻故事的建築物。它代表著享受滿地可亞洲文化遺產的機會，見證了幾百個來自不同文化背景的人聚集在一起。最重要的是，唐人街代表了我的華裔阿姨把華人文化、食物和語言傳承給我。

Since I don’t live in Montreal, I sometimes feel like I’m suffocating in my small town, so I come to Chinatown to catch my breath and have a chance to explore another culture. Chinatown means good food, relaxing music, and many buildings with fascinating stories behind them. It represents an opportunity to witness hundreds of people from different cultures coming together to enjoy Montreal’s Asian heritage. Most importantly, for me Chinatown represents my aunt of Chinese descent sharing her culture, food, and language with me.
